Right then she started to understand the real, difficult, and completely uncompromised beauty of this world. The warmth from the fire that sparked her spirit broke her mind free from its cold cage of perpetual calculation. Everything she thought she had known and ever wanted melted away all at once. For once in a very long while, she could feel her own heart beating and she knew she was real. Every fear she had of losing was lost. There was no more game. There was only life. And it was lovely.
